Last summer, I attended a youth camp by our church that is held at Naic,Cavite. We stayed there for four days and do things for the glory of our Lord. The aim of that camp is to encourage youth to know and accept Jesus.
Before we went there, the counselors and other higher ups prepared the flow of the activities that will happen within that three days. We, youths from our church prepared a special number, a dance number, that we will perform in one of those days. We spent a month to practice and polish that dance. Two days before the camp, we had our general practice and we stayed there to help in preparation for the camp.
On the day of the camp we travelled from Muntinlupa up to Naic, Cavite for up to three hours. We encountered a bit interruption that’s why we are somehow late. As soon as we arrived at the venue, we registered ourselves and took our name tags with the schedule at the back. After the registration, we are gathered at the session hall to have the orientation and the opening of the program. After the opening we are grouped together with the youths from other churches in order for us to socialize and make new friends. We are instructed to construct our group name and our flag. After that, we ate our dinner. After we ate our dinner, one of the speaker preached and we had our praise and worship.We also performed our yell. We headed to our rooms after we finished the activity for that day. Lights were turned off at exactly 12:00 am.
Next day, we had our exercise at exactly 5 am. We proceed to our respective groups to eat our breakfast together. After eating our breakfast, we are called in session hall to have our praise and worship and also the preaching. We are told to memorize a memorize a verse that will serve as a code to have our lunch. Then, we go again to the session hall to continue the program. We are instructed to have a talent show to be performed by the whole group for the talents night that will be performed after our dinner. We practiced for almost 5 hours before we had our dinner and proceed to the session hall. We had our praise and worship first and the preaching before the talents night. We enjoyed everyone’s talent. That night, we also peromed our special number that night. We are so exhausted that day so w all ended up lying on our bed.
The third day is the most memorable and most exciting day because we had our team building. We started the team buiding after lunch. We enjoyed playing games like crawling on the mud under the net where puzzle pieces are attached. We also played a game where we are blindfolded and we have to pick the food on the plate and finish it all. We also crossed the pool with a hanging ladder and many more. We are dirty and tired but we are satisfied and very happy. We already had a great memory within only 3 days.
The fourth and last day, we had our awarding ceremony and closing remarks. We also had our boodle fight. Though we are parting our ways, the memories we shared are unforgettable.
Having new friends is also having a new family. Socializing with others is important for us to build new relationship with a strong foundation. Establishing communication and connection to others is healthy for us. Sharing some moments with them will make us happy.
